Collect new & pre-loved books from your friends and family. Make sure they are appropriate for children between 3-16 years.

Submit a drop-off form, wait for approval and drop off your books at one of our drop off locations in London, Leicester, Slough.

What types of books can I donate?

Donate new or gently used books for children aged 3–16

We’re Looking For:

Fiction

  • Picture books & storybooks

  • Early readers & chapter books

  • Primary & Middle-grade fiction

  • Folktales, poetry & short stories

  • Inclusive, engaging stories that spark imagination

Non-Fiction

  • ABCs, numbers, colours & early learning

  • Science: animals, space, the body, nature

  • Geography, cultures & global awareness

  • History (child-friendly & unbiased)

  • Maths, STEM, arts & crafts, music

  • Biographies of inspiring figures

🚫 Please Avoid:

  • Outdated materials (especially pre-2005, unless it is a classic text)

  • Religious, political or agenda-driven content

  • UK curriculum-heavy books (e.g. 11 plus prep, GCSE)

  • Books with controversial themes (e.g. war, horror, trauma)

  • Damaged or heavily marked books

Where can I drop of my books?

You can drop off your new and gently used children’s books to:

  • Redbridge Central Library and Museum during opening hours. Address: Clements Rd, Ilford, IG1 1EA

  • Chingford, London.

  • Leicester

  • Slough
