Video Appeal from Nsanga Primary School in Malawi. The schools has over 1000 students with a ratio of one text book to ten children. They do not have a library. At Pepala our aim is to provide fiction/non-fiction books so the children can thrive.

    ✅ We’re Looking For:

    Fiction

    • Picture books & storybooks

    • Early readers & chapter books

    • Middle-grade fiction

    • Folktales, poetry & short stories

    • Inclusive, engaging stories that spark imagination

    Non-Fiction

    • ABCs, numbers, colours & early learning

    • Science: animals, space, the body, nature

    • Geography, cultures & global awareness

    • History (child-friendly & unbiased)

    • Maths, STEM, arts & crafts, music

    • Biographies of inspiring figures

    🚫 Please Avoid:

    • Outdated materials (especially pre-2005)

    • Religious, political or agenda-driven content

    • UK curriculum-heavy books

    • Books with controversial themes (e.g. war, horror, trauma)

    • Damaged or heavily marked books

  • If you are unable to drop off your books to Redbridge Central Library and Museum, you can drop off your books to one of our partners in Chingford, East London. Or post them to us. Email us on info@pepala.org.uk for more information.
